Introducing the Forgotten Romance Series

I really liked doing a series of posts in November centered on one theme. As February approached I got the idea for a series centered on some forgotten keys to writing romance. February has come and gone but I'm finally here to do what I intended. You must read on for more details. :)

Personally, I know that I've avoided writing romances because I don't want to be "one of those writers". You know the kind, with their flowery words, steamy :P men, and stupid heroines. There are mental blocks before the idea of romance. I have worked to avoid those situations as much as possible! However, in my study of the matter, I've noticed that most of my favorite reads include romance. And most of them, haven't been published recently. Therefore, here's to a month of studying what I think makes for memorable romance.

So tell me, have you attempted a 'romance'? Have you run into the same hesitation I faced?
Can you wait to see what Cordy has in store? ;D

Yours truly,
Cordy

Storming Prompt: March 2017

Alright, I don't know why, but this prompt struck my fancy. March is upon us, and away you go!

Rules
1. YOU DON'T HAVE TO BE A WRITER TO PARTICIPATE!
2.View/Read/Listen to the prompt with a mind primed to explore the possibilities!
3. You don't have to answer all of the questions I pose. They are there merely to aid your mind in taking imaginative flight.
4. Share what ideas you gained in the comments. This could include a bit of dialogue, a general scene sketch, a plot problem, character names and place, or even the 'history' of a prompt. (But, if the idea you create happens to be so great, you might want to save it for a future date!)
5. Read and perhaps add to the other replies and answers submitted. (Recommended not required)

Are they wishing? Is it a mistake made in anger? Where is the fountain and what is its history? Is anyone with them? How old are they? A child maybe?

Yours truly,
Cordy

Storming Prompt: Feb 2017

Well, in the spirit of Valentine's you could say there is a romantic feel to this prompt. Do forgive me but I do think there must be something of a romantic in my somewhere. :D

Rules
1. YOU DON'T HAVE TO BE A WRITER TO PARTICIPATE!
2. View/Read/Listen to the prompt with a mind primed to explore the possibilities!

Is this a first date? the second? How serious are they? Are they friends? Does the family approve? How long have they known each other? Where are they going? Where did she get that dress?

Good luck! I look forward to your entries!

Yours truly,
Cordy
