Introducing the Pen

Okay, let's try this again. Alrighty, welcome to The Sensible Pen! Well, I just want to explain the title for a moment here. In the 2008 Sense and Sensibility, Fanny Dashwood congratulates Margaret on her choice to become a writer by saying, "pens and paper cost very little, you have made a sensible choice". For whatever reason, when I was brainstorming titles, sensible stayed with me. And therefore, my writing blog became The Sensible Pen. Gosh, I wish there was a better story than quoting horrid Fanny Dashwood. Haha.

Anyway, some of you will know me from my personal blog, Write on, Cordy. The plans for that blog didn't go exactly as--planned, though I do enjoy my time there. But I just felt, after a few months of thought, that I might need a secondary blog for whatever writer's junk (yes, I call it that), I have in my brain. I'll give you an idea of what I mean:

• Books recommendations for writers
• Discuss writing theories
• I might share some cools words I love
• Rant Expound on story trends that I like and don't like
• Share writing prompts and other writing exercises
• Other writing promoting STUFF

It's hard to spell out everything I have in mind. But if any of that mumbo-jumbo intrigued you, you might want to stick around. I hope I can make it worth your while. 

Just as a heads up, I don't plan on being as active here as I am on my personal blog. And I also just want to note that some of the projects I have in mind might mean that I simply will not have the time to answer all the comments that come my way. However(!) know that I am reading all of your entries and if you ask a question I will try and get back to you. 

Now, I hope you will join me as a fumbling writer attempts to share the few tips she knows and has up her sleeve.
